(2008-Present) IHRC employees support CDC’s mission as epidemiologists, laboratorians, bioinformaticians, statisticians, mathematical modelers, data analysts, data managers, database administrators, program managers, administrative staff, and in many other roles. Our employees are integral to several important CDC programs, including but not limited to, foodborne, waterborne, and vector-borne disease surveillance, parasitic diseases and malaria, bioterrorism preparedness, and chronic disease programs, such as heart disease and stroke prevention. In addition, our employees perform research, support global surveillance and outbreak response activities, provide consultation for the implementation of bioinformatics and other programs, and provide bioinformatics analysis and bioinformatics workforce development training.
